the NOR-CON reviews

First time at a Cosplay event, very friendly and polite staff, all the cosplayers where very friendly when asked for photo’s. Not enough for a full day, but worth a visit. Would have liked a “Photo Zone” where all the cosplayers allow the public to take pictures, charity buckets at the ready, plain backgrounds and Nor-Con logo etc. that way the cosplayers are raising extra funds for the recognised charity.

Excellent event, gets better every year, great guests, good range of stalls, friendly people and plenty to see and do. Also good catering stalls provided. I will be back next year.

I took my little boy yesterday and he loved it he was the little blonde Dr who. He loved the Tardis and Darleks the best. I’m not much of a sci-fi fan but yesterday really impressed me the exhibits were great it was very well organised and it was great to see so many people getting into the spirit of things wearing fantastic costumes. Here’s to hopefully Nor-Con 8 in 2018.

1st visit and it was very enjoyable, the cosplay was excellent and the kids loved having their photos with all the different people, especially the Norwich Star Wars club. As some have said there’s not quite enough for the non hardcore to spend all day here but the cosplay competitions were very good and we’ll definitely visit next year.

First norcon and I really liked it. Normally I attend London mcm, so it was a nice change. The atmosphere was really nice, friendly staff and it was my first time entering a cosplay competition. The commentator was funny. I loved the birds that were there this weekend. I think there was a nice selection of stalls my only bad point panther stalls would be there wasn’t any for anime/manga. I’d probably also suggest a marquee outside in case of rain, like it did this weekend, so people could take shelter outside. I think the con was great for children as well, even though I don’t have any of my own there was some great activities for the children to do as well as the child cosplay competition. I did notice a previous comment about there being no cash point at the event, I would recommend getting one, luckily as we had plenty of cash we didn’t run into this problem we didn’t have any issue. I also would like to mention how great it is that there is disabled access to the convention, my only comment to this would be that there should also be a ramp for the cosplay competition as that way wheelchair users can also show off there costumes. I’ve seen great costumes in London before so it would be a shame if a wheelchair user attended the event and could not participate due to the steps. Overall I had fun this weekend and will be attending the next one. Great job.

Great but sometimes very difficult to hear the celebrities as the stage is too close and sometimes it interrupts when some of us are trying to talk to the celebrities and get autographs. Still a great venue and will go again but i wish that had been addressed also from previous year.

Had a great time this weekend, it had a really good atmosphere :) spreading the event over two days worked really well, and can’t wait for next year!

We had a great time yesterday, it was our first time to something like this, everyone was so friendly, the boys were amazed with who the ‘met’ and everyone was so kind to let them have photos taken with them!
